Vendor Management Office, VP / Manager 2011 to Present 

  • Built the Vendor Management Office managing Vendor Risk Administration, Contracts Management, IT Procurement and General Service Purchasing for domestic and international business units (USA and Greater China).
  • Manage and coach staff regarding negotiation strategies, vendor relationship management and risk management; ensuring adherence to FFIEC, FRB, DBO, CFPB and other regulatory guidance.  
  • Successfully negotiated $30MM contract for the core banking platform; limiting risk exposures associated with security and regulatory compliance, while meeting the strategic objectives of Commercial, Retail, Loan Services and IT business unit owners. 
  • Secured greater than $1MM in savings for Treasury Management and Retail in the procurement and implementation of fraud and risk management system.
  • Completed due diligence review of contracts associated with acquisition activities; finding creative solutions to early termination reducing and managing over $7.5MM in M&A costs.
  • Developed the bank's Vendor Management System utilizing the SCRUM framework; a web application supporting the vendor management life cycle from on-boarding of new vendors, risk assessment, due diligence process including risk and contract management life cycle systems.  
  • Led the dispute and dissolution of multi-million dollar telecom services; reduced risk and eliminated termination liabilities while securing and managing the transition of SIP and MPLS services. 
  • Serve as an advisor to executive management; weekly and bi-weekly meetings with the CFO, CRO/GC and COO/President.

Vendor Compliance and Contracts Manager, VP 2008 to 2011  

  • Managed Vendor Risk for Treasury Management as the primary Subject Matter Expert and single escalation point.
  • Lead complex high risk contract negotiations from Request for Proposal (RFP) through contract execution.

  • Served as a Subject Matter Expert and Primary Escalation point, providing support for IT, Operations and Finance teams.
  • Negotiated contracts for network services and specialized high-tech hardware and software, with a primary focus on Telecom, Internet, and VoIP product sets.
  • Lead strategic sourcing project to identify and procure VoIP hardware, software and services resulting in development, deployment and launch of EarthLink’s consumer VoIP product sets in a 9 month time period. 
  • Sourced materials and supported the construction of the central utility plant, providing HVAC and disaster recovery power (AC and DC) for the main datacenter in Pasadena. 
  • Brokered a contract buyout and source code purchase of the VoIP provisioning application; securing an immediate $500,000 savings and ensured the continued reduction in operating costs.
  • Created base service level agreements for private line, transit and managed modem services that resulted in an increase in quality and cost savings across all product sets.
  • Managed disputes resulting from short falls, credits and over payments. 
  • Took a $2.1MM shortfall and created a $150,000 benefit for the company. 
  • Successfully implemented measures that resulted in greater than $100MM savings.
